Cost Breakdown of a Clean Sleep Franchise

If you are approved as a franchise owner for a Clean Sleep mobile business, you must pay an initial franchise fee of $30,000.

With the national average franchise fee sitting between $20,000-$50,000, this is a relatively low initial cost.

After you pay Clean Sleep your franchise fee, you can begin the process of purchasing the inventory, equipment, and everything else you will need.

Once everything has been bought and you’re ready to open, your total investment will be approximately $300,000-$350,000.

Now that your business is open, you can start recouping the cost of your initial investments. As you gain more customers, your business will start to be profitable.

However, there are a couple of additional fees you will have to pay to Clean Sleep on a regular basis.  These fees include the royalty fee and the ad royalty fee.

If there are ever any legal claims made against Clean Sleep that result from your operations, you may have to pay additional fees.

The table below will highlight all the important information you will need to keep in mind.

  • It covers any testing and inspections for equipment and supplies related to your franchise for the term length.

What sets Clean Sleep apart from other mattress cleaning businesses is its mobile business model.

A cleaner home
Relief from certain allergies
An extension of the mattress’s lifespan
A reduction of allergens in the home
Elimination of microscopic pests inside the mattress

Criteria for Applying for a Clean Sleep Franchise

Before you apply to franchise a Clean Sleep mobile cleaning unit, take a look at the required criteria.

These outline the minimum standards that you or your partnership must meet in order to be considered as a franchise owner.

You or your partnership must have a net worth of at least $1,000,000 to be considered a viable candidate. In addition, you must have a liquid cash amount of at least $200,000.

While a Clean Sleep franchise needs to be run full-time, absentee ownership is allowed under the agreement.

An absentee owner is defined as a person who legally owns a business but does not actually run the day-to-day operations.

You can think of this as a landlord versus property management company scenario. While the landlord is still the owner of the property, the property management company handles most of the daily tasks for them.

If you choose to be an absentee owner, you will have to designate someone as an Operations Manager. This will be the person who oversees the everyday tasks and reports back to you.

You are not required to have a separate office location to own a Clean Sleep franchise. Since this is a mobile business, it is okay to run your operations from home or from the mobile unit itself.

You do, however, need at least three employees to help you run your business.

Training and Ongoing Support Offered to Franchise Owners

As soon as you sign the paperwork to open your franchise, you gain access to all of Clean Sleep’s training materials.

Prior to opening, you will go through eight hours of on-the-job training and eight hours of classroom training. After this initial training is complete, Clean Sleep offers franchise owners additional training both online and by phone.

Ongoing Support After Opening Day

You will receive help and support from Clean Sleep prior to and during your franchise’s Grand Opening. However, the help does not end here!

Long after your mobile business has opened, you will receive additional support in the following ways

Newsletters
Invites to meetings
Convention invites
A toll-free phone line
Field operation assistance
Ongoing information about safety and security measures

Marketing Support from Clean Sleep

The above measures ensure that you have all the information and skills necessary to conduct a successful business.

For help with getting your name out in the community, you will also receive many forms of marketing support

Advertising templates
Email marketing support
Co-operative advertising
Website development assistance
Social media and SEO assistance

Clean Sleep wants to ensure that all their franchise owners are able to run their businesses to the company’s high standards. To make sure this happens, they offer a never-ending line of support and resources.

The Bottom Line

If you are approved by Clean Sleep as a franchise owner, your initial fee will be $30,000. This is on the lower end of the average franchise fee in the United States.

Once you purchase all your equipment and supplies, your total initial investment will be somewhere in the neighborhood of $300,000-$350,000.

Owning a Clean Sleep franchise is a great option for many entrepreneurs. You can run your business from home, appoint an Operations Manager to handle day-to-day tasks, and serve customers on-site.

To learn more about potentially franchising a Clean Sleep operation, fill out the inquiry form on their website. If you’re approved, you could take the first steps towards owning a highly-profitable business!
